**AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING ATM SAFETY**

Please remember these important tips when using your H.P.C. Credit Union ATM or Debit card to access your account at an ATM machine:

1. Choose an ATM that is well lit and check for any suspicious individuals or activity in the area.
2. Have your card out of your purse/wallet and ready to use before approaching the ATM.
3. Be sure that anyone waiting in line behind you is an acceptable distance away to protect your PIN (Personal Identification Number).
4. Memorize your PIN.  If you must write it down, do so in a disguised manner and never carry it with your card.  Never give your PIN out to anyone.
5. Regularly check your account balance and statements, and report any discrepancies to the Credit Union immediately.
6. Also, please remember that PIN reversal technology does not work.  This concept is an “urban myth” that a cardholder at an ATM could input their PIN reversed to draw attention to a potentially dangerous situation like a robbery or kidnapping.  It is highly unlikely that, in the event of such a situation, anyone could successfully employ PIN reversal without compromising their personal safety.  We would like you, our valued members, to remember that this type of technology is not in use at any ATM in the United States.

Due to the rising cost of postage, we implemented a $7.00 fee on November 1, 2006 for all mail that is returned to your H.P.C. Credit Union. Since we value your personal information, statements are not forwarded through the Post Office. Please be sure to keep your address current and make address changes with the Credit Union as well as the Post Office.
